It's really interesting that the assistants have been retained, all of them. The 13 page report that was released, not the 180+ page full report, but only the summary, indicates that assistants were involved all over the place.
Report this morning is that Baylor paid Briles a stack of money and they settled the contract claims
Big money donors supposedly want to bring him back but the 34 member Board of Regents says absolutely not. I don't see how that can ever happen. But if they've already paid Briles, then is their plan to sweep this under the rug and go on? With the same staff except the head coach? There is some thought that the XII Presidents are watching to see how BU handles this going forward, and if not satisfactorily, then the XII could boot them out under clauses in the XII structuring.
