Who: No. 17 Western Michigan vs. Ohio
Where: Ford Field (Detroit)
When: 7 p.m. ET (ESPN2/ESPN App)
WMU is ranked 13 in the AP and 14 in the Coaches polls. They have not won a MAC Championship since 1988. Under the current championship game format they have been to the MAC Championship game twice and have never won. Both of those games were held in Huntington, WV at Marshall's stadium and Marshall won both games in 1999 and 2000. WMU is looking to finish the season 13-0 before bowl season begins. Projected attendance is 50,000+ with over 46,000+ tickets already confirmed by WMU AD Kathy Beauregard as sold. The attendance will shatter the MACC attendance record by almost double and will obliterate the attendance record in a game with two MAC teams playing each other.
Ohio hasn't won the MAC Championship since the year I was born, 1968. They have the #5 defense in the country but they are going up against one of the best, most balanced offenses in the country. The first drive of the game should set the tone for this game.
Who: No. 8 Colorado vs. No. 4 Washington
Where: Levi's Stadium (Santa Clara, California)
When: 9 p.m. ET (FOX)
I have no clue about this game but I believe I would like to see the Buffaloes win it.
Sat., Dec. 3
American Athletic Conference
Who: Temple at No. 19 Navy
Where: Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (Annapolis, Maryland)
When: Noon ET (ABC/ESPN App)
Being a fan of a conference that at one time played it''s championship at member stadiums instead of a neutral site, I really don't like this setup. This is a virtual home game for Navy. With that said: GO TEMPLE!!!!!!!!!
Who: Louisiana Tech at Western Kentucky
Where: L.T. Smith Stadium (Bowling Green, Kentucky)
When: Noon ET (ESPN/ESPN App)
I don't know much about this game but I do know Western Kentucky and Western Michigan have something in common. Before 1939 the Broncos of Western Michigan were know as the Hilltoppers, not the Broncos. A few weeks ago the stupid ESPN announcers announcing a Western Michigan game callled the Broncos Western Kentucky several times. I like Bowling Green, KY, but I was actually born in Louisiana. Even though I don't like championship games being played at member stadiums I am hoping Western Kentucky wins.
Who: No. 10 Oklahoma State at No. 9 Oklahoma
Where: Memorial Stadium (Norman, Oklahoma)
When: 12:30 p.m. ET (FOX)
- Not official championship game, however, conference title will be decided in this game.
Gundy has proven to be nothing more than one of the biggest whiners and cry babies in the nation. GO SOONERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who: No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 15 Florida
Where: Georgia Dome (Atlanta)
When: 4 p.m. ET (CBS)
Is there really any chance Florida wins this game?
Who: San Diego State at Wyoming
Where: War Memorial Stadium (Laramie, Wyoming)
When: 7:45 p.m. ET (ESPN/ESPN App>
Come on MWC, can't you get the conference championship to be played in Denver, San Franciso, L.A. or Phoenix? Go Cowboys!
Who: No. 3 Clemson vs. No. 23 Virginia Tech
Where: Camping World Stadium (Orlando, Florida)
When: 8 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN App)
I don't see the Hokies winning this game.
Who: No. 6 Wisconsin vs. No. 7 Penn State
Where: Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis)
When: 8 p.m. ET (FOX)
Of all the games this weekend, I see this as the most evenly matched game. I don't know who will win, but the way Penn State has been playing, I think they have the best chance to win.
