I guess that the loss to Northwestern hurts Stanford, the loss to Nebraska hurts Mich St;
Last year's loss by Ohio St to Va Tech stinks too....but overall, MSU this year and OSU last year had great seasons, and Stanford's is pretty solid overall this year.
I think until the Texas loss, OU didn't know what kind of team they were. They struggled with Tennessee, and then lost to Texas. I quite frankly figured they'd lose 2 or 3 more. And rooted for that to happen
But I have to give credit to the OU coaching staff and players. It pains me to say it too. They put their season back together. Now I'm hoping that Clemson plays MSU for the championship. I don't want to see OU or Bama in the finals...that's just me. I want to see something new
But OU beat TCU, Baylor and Okla St, and 2 of those 3 were on the road.
So I give them credit for overcoming the loss in their biggest rivalry game even though it's to a team that ended up 5-7. TCU hammered Texas, and OU beat TCU. OKla St barely beat Texas, because of a muffed punt snap. Texas lost to Cal on a botched EP. Texas could easily have finished this season 7-5 and I don't think that we'd be having this argument.
